The Best Place To Spend A Week In Thailand For Nightlife

If experiencing Thailand’s hedonistic nightlife is your primary objective, then you are in for a treat.

There are two different 7-day Thailand itinerary options for all of our party hungry travelers, guaranteeing you some certifiably wild adventures.

Option 1:

Bangkok, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan

Day 1: Arrive in Bangkok

Depending on what time your flight arrives, you may have the entire day to explore the city, or you may just come in time to hit up the bars.

Either way, you will depart from Bangkok at the end of this 7 day Thailand itinerary, so whatever you miss the first time around, you will get another chance to visit later on.

The two most significant party zones in Bangkok are Khao San Road and Sukhumvit so be sure to head straight to these areas when looking to go out.

Day 2: Fly into Koh Samui

There are no direct flights to Koh Phangan. Therefore you must fly into the neighboring island of Koh Samui first.

However, don’t worry because Koh Samui also has a vibrant nightlife scene so don’t plan on an early night on this island.

Chaweng is the best place to party on Koh Samui.

Once you are there head straight for the popular Ark Bar Beach Resort which is famous for their day parties and weekly beach raves.

Additionally, just 5 minutes up the road from Ark Bar is the downtown Chaweng which has an assortment of different bars and nightclubs that run til about 3 am.

Days 3 – 5: Koh Phangan [The Full Moon Party}

Catch the early morning ferry from Koh Samui to Koh Phangan where you will be spending three entire days as you prepare to take on the pinnacle of your one week in Thailand, hence The Full Moon Party.

We recommend making sure The Full Moon Party falls on day 4 of your trip, that way you won’t have to worry about potentially blacking out and missing your ferry out of Koh Phangan.

And yes, that should be a legitimate concern.

Additionally, the day after the Full Moon Party is beyond hectic with a majority of travelers all simultaneously trying to depart Koh Phangan at the same time.

Chances are you’ll already have a bad enough a headache from the Full Moon hangover, so there’s no need for an extra one.

Day 6-7: Bangkok

Book your trips through the local travel agencies scattered around the island.

Option 2:

Phuket and Koh Phi Phi

Day 1: Arrive In Phuket

Find the best of the Phuket nightlife in the town of Patong on Bangla road.

Bangla road is a mile of mayhem chock-full with an assortment of bars and nightclubs whose bass pumping music literally vibrates your organs as you stroll down the street.

For some, Bangla road is the hedonistic party haven that they have been dreaming of.

For others, it’s a testament to the depraved and vulgar reputation of Phuket that strays a little too far out of their comfort zone.

Either way, we will let you be the judge.

Day 2-5: Koh Phi Phi

On day two, catch an early morning ferry out of Phuket and travel to the beloved backpacker refuge of Koh Phi Phi.

Prepare to lose touch with reality amongst the carefree tropical vibes of the island.

On Koh Phi Phi island it’s like every day is Friday so for all the wild ones out there, get ready to party!

The island hosts several different boat parties throughout the week during the high season that even include the famous attractions of Maya Bay and Monkey Beach.

Shout out to Blanco’s Boat Party, which happens to be my personal favorite.

Phi Phi island also hosts the famous Ibiza pool party, nightly beach raves, fire shows and who can forget infamous Stockholm Syndrome dance club that serves as a beacon for the reckless youth on the island.

Long story short, if your primary goal is to party during your one week in Thailand, then this little tropical island of hedonism will not disappoint.

The three destinations of Phuket, Railay Beach, and Koh Phi Phi are all located within the illustrious Krabi province, which is home to a plethora of Thailands’ most beloved beaches.

Thus making it quite easy to navigate and explore these different destinations during your 7 days in Thailand.

Days 2-3: Railay Beach

Catch a short 2-hour ferry from Phuket to the world-famous Railay Beach.

Railay Beach is one of the most sought-after beach destinations in all of Thailand and quite easy to understand why.

For those unfamiliar with Thailand, Railay Beach is actually a small peninsula that features four different spectacular beaches!

Yes, you did indeed read that correctly, and no I don’t blame you if you are packing your bags already.
