{Where To Honeymoon In Bali}
It’s no doubt that Bali is one of the best honeymoon destinations in the world, and it should not be overlooked when planning your first romantic getaway as a married couple.
Look, weddings are expensive. Marriage is even more expensive. How many people here actually have Bora-Bora-5-star-over-the-water-villas type of money?
Bali will allow you to live like kings and queens, and it just so happens to be dirt cheap.
The two best things about having your honeymoon in Bali are:
- It’s super affordable
- There’s literally something for everyone
And what I mean by that, is if you’re a couple that actually does not want to lay by the pool all day for the entirety of your honeymoon, Bali has a plethora of activities for you to get into.
If your idea of a honeymoon includes adventuring, sightseeing, snorkeling, maybe even partying, Bali has got you covered.

Or if you want to stay somewhere that is all-inclusive so you barely need to lift a finger, Bali has that too.

How many days to stay for your Bali honeymoon
This all depends on what you want to do there. My golden rule is to try and stay in Bali for at least one week so that you actually have time to unwind and relax. However, if you’re wanting to do a little more than to just sit back and relax, then I think it would be wise to extend this number out.
If your main priority is laying by the pool and relaxing, 7 days is sufficient. In fact, have a read of our 7 days Bali itinerary to inspire your own romantic getaway.
If you want to throw some adventure in to your Bali honeymoon itinerary as well, 10-14 days would probably be better.

The Ultimate Bali Honeymoon Itinerary
With all of the above information in mind, I’ve created the ultimate Bali honeymoon itinerary that you can use for inspiration for your own romantic Bali honeymoon.
Our ultimate Bali honeymoon itinerary is 14-days in duration because we know any newlyweds deserve two full weeks of romance.
Day 1-5: Ubud
Ubud is the relaxing destination you deserve as the first stop on your Bali honeymoon itinerary.
There’s nothing like waking up and smelling the fresh air and overlooking the rice terraces while sipping your morning coffee.
Serenity doesn’t even begin to describe it.
Other than experiencing the tranquility that defines Ubud, you can visit various rice terraces, waterfalls, the markets and even the monkey forest.
Day 5-8: Nusa Lembongan
A quiet beachside escape is absolutely necessary for any Bali honeymoon itinerary.
Nusa Lembongan will have you hooked from the moment you step off that boat.
It’s very easy to get a boat from Ubud to the Nusa Islands, which is only a 30-minute boat ride away, so it’s not a huge hassle to get there and back.
During these few days in Nusa Lembongan you can take a little day trip to the neighboring island of Nusa Ceningan, visit Dream Beach, Blue Lagoon, Devil’s Tears, and Mangrove Forest as well as dining at all the cute little seaside restaurants that are scattered throughout the island.
Day 8-12: Seminyak
I mean, Seminyak has it all. The shopping, cafes, restaurants, beach clubs, nightclubs… if you want a bit of liveliness during your Bali honeymoon then spending a few days in Seminyak should definitely be on the itinerary.
The vibes in Seminyak are some of the best in Bali and it’s just an overall great base location for any adventures you might want to go on during the day.
Or if you prefer to spend your Seminyak days by your villa’s private pool and explore the beach clubs at night then that works too!
Day 12-14: Nusa Dua
Nusa Dua is a beautiful option to add on to your Bali honeymoon itinerary if you wish, otherwise, a quick day trip will also suffice if you prefer to minimize the number of times you have to change locations and hotels.
After all that Seminyak hustle and bustle, Nusa Dua is what you’ll be yearning for to get that quiet time back.
Your time in Nusa Dua can be spent getting wined and dined with your significant other, having a spa day together, or even saving little turtles at the turtle conservation center!
Day 14-17: Uluwatu
The last stop to your Bali honeymoon itinerary is our beloved Uluwatu.
Nightly dinners overlooking that Uluwatu cliffside ocean view is something that will be embedded in your memory forever!
Other than the incredible views, you might want to visit Uluwatu Temple, Tegal Wangi Beach, or OMNIA Beach Club to top off your memorable Bali honeymoon.
